Roles and Responsibilities of Mentees
● Identify goals and continually update/restructure as needed and track your progress. Identify the skills, knowledge and/or goals that he/she wants to achieve and communicate them clearly to the mentor.
● Schedule and keep planned meetings and be prepared. Be responsive and respectful of the mentor’s role and time.
● Be able to accept constructive, professional criticism/suggestions/advice. Be comfortable receiving objective feedback.
● Maintain awareness of the length of the Mentee/Mentor relationship, renew or conclude relationship.
● Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
● Be sensitive to differences in race, gender, and cultural background.
● Openly share successes and failures.
